Heel Discoveries and Hot Sauce Entertainment

I’m back! It’s not technically tomorrow (in reference to my previous post), seeing as it’s past midnight, but I’m still awake 🙂

As promised, I filmed my buddy, Chris, taste-testing Blair’s 3AM Reserve hot “sauce”. The results are hilarious! You can find the video here, where I finally created a YouTube channel for my blog. I look forward to using it more in the future, documenting my crazy adventures.

Now, about the “sauce”. This is one of Blair’s hottest food additives that he sells. It has a Scoville rating of 1.5-2 million! I used it while cooking my dinner tonight, and even spread out, the heat was intense. It’s been four hours since I ate, and I still have heartburn. But the zing and adrenaline are worth it. Don’t you see the parallel with hiking?

Now about my dreaded Achilles’ Heels. I was researching what was causing the blisters I was getting and came across a Mountaineer article written by a Sports Medicine specialist. They described the condition I have (blisters right above the base of the Achilles’ tendon) as “Mountaineer’s Heel”. Finally! I found a reputable source reporting that my condition is not unusual! All I have to do is continue building up a callus back there. For so long, I thought I needed new boots, but I just have to break the boots in and break my feet in 🙂

I hope you all enjoy the video, and I especially hope that the article is of help to some of you. Until next time!

Take a hike and spice up your life!
