Good evening everyone! The past two videos of hot sauce trials have been at the expense of the suffering of my friends. Granted, they were willing to endure the pain to support me (thank you!), but it’s time I gave myself some of my own medicine.
On my lunch break, I tried some of Da’ Bomb Ground Zero Hot Sauce made by Original Juan Specialty Foods. My buddy let me borrow the bottle for the purposes of my blog, and I am very grateful for the opportunity!
At 321,900 Scoville Units (a measure of heat), I thought the experience was going to be mild at best. Luckily, or unluckily depending on your perspective, it packed a punch!
The pineapple mixed with the habañero pepper was a wondrous, savory yet sweet experience to be savored; once I got past the initial kick of course.
The heat came in waves. First the unexpected shock, then it died down a little. As time went on however, the heat kept building through my mouth and into my nasal cavity. You can even see my pupils constricting in the video! This sauce is awesome, and I recommend that any hot sauce aficionado give it a try. Check out the video below!
Later this week, I’ll post about my journey to Zion National Park a week ago and my snow and ice climbing class in Tahoe last weekend. Thanks for checking out my blog and remember; take a hike and spice up your life!
