Cajon Pass (Mile 342) on the PCT

So after 3 zero days in Julian, relentless desert, and foot pain that brought me to crying and screaming in agony, I have made it 342 miles in to Cajon Pass!

I don’t think anything could have prepared me for the desert, but here I am. I’m facing a 5,000 ft climb to Wrightwood tomorrow with no water sources along the way, but I have a feeling I’ll make it!

I’ve met a ton of awesome people, experienced a ton of trail magic, and life is good. Till next time!

Take a hike and spice up your Life!

You’re awesome Doug! I knew your feet needed some healing but I don’t think I realized the pain you were in. I Will be keeping you in my thoughts for strength and fortitude tomorrow during your climb. ‘You’re doing it’!! One step at a time!!
